Humana Inc. is expanding availability of its new line of HumanaOne individual and family major medical insurance products.

HumanaOne, Waukesha, Wis., an individual health insurance unit of Humana Inc., Louisville, Ky., says the products now are available in Arizona, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Texas.

The collection includes low-deductible plans that resemble traditional employer-sponsored plans, high-deductible plans that are compatible with health savings accounts, and plans aimed at young adults and other customers who want low-cost safety net coverage, according to HumanaOne.

The products have been available in Colorado, Florida, Kentucky and Tennessee since May.

By early 2008, HumanaOne hopes to have the products on the shelf in all 26 states in which HumanaOne currently operates, the company says.

HumanaOne is selling the plans through agents and brokers as well as through direct sales channels.
