A team of 1,000 volunteers has helped a long term care insurer raise $167,000 in contributions for an organization that battles Alzheimer's disease.

Bankers Life and Casualty Company, Chicago, an arm of Conseco Inc., Carmel, Ind., says volunteers who participated in its annual "Forget Me Not Days" program collected the donations – for the Alzheimer's Association, Chicago — on street corners in more than 90 cities in mid-May.
