Hawkeye State Schedules Life Settlement Model Hearing

The Iowa Insurance Division will hold a public hearing on the secondary life insurance market 10 a.m. May 10 in Des Moines.

Officials will be reviewing proposed revisions to the Life Settlements Model Act developed by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, Kansas City, Mo.

"The division is interested in issues regarding the NAIC model, agent licensing and other issues specifically related to the regulation of life settlements," according to the hearing notice.
