Intercare Solutions has acquired SFG Benefits Financial.
Intercare, San Diego, a unit of Intercare Holdings Inc., is a benefits consulting and services firm.
SFG Benefits, Walnut Creek, Calif., is a retirement planning firm.
The companies are not announcing the price of the deal, but Intercare says Bret Dudl, the founder and chief executive of SFG Benefits, now is vice president for retirement plans at Intercare.
Intercare has hired SFG Benefits' employees and moved them into Intercare's San Diego offices, Intercare says.
SFG Benefits has about 90 clients and $100 million in retirement plan assets.
Intercare has about 800 benefits clients.
