AIG American General, Houston, is celebrating the 2007 Lunar New Year with the Asian-American community and the insurance and financial services professionals and organizations who serve them.

"From Asia-Pacific to North America, the member companies of AIG continue to serve the needs of Asian communities around the corner and around the world," said Matt Winter, president and CEO, AIG American General. "On this Lunar New Year, we at AIG American General would like to wish our Asian-American clients and the insurance and financial services professionals who serve them a joyous year of peace, prosperity and happiness."

As part of the celebration, AIG American General will spearhead a variety of activities through March, including sponsorships, community events, special advertising and promotions in California, Illinois, Texas, New York and the greater Washington, D.C. area. AIG has a long and rich history serving multicultural markets globally, and these activities demonstrate AIG American General's commitment to the insurance and financial services professionals and the distribution organizations serving these markets.

"Many of these activities will be conducted in collaboration with insurance professionals and organizations who have served Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and other Asian-American customers for years," said Rick Niu, vice president, Corporate Multicultural Marketing, AIGAmerican General. "On this very special occasion, we thank them for their dedication and service to their community through AIG American General member companies, and wish them and the entire Asian-American community a very Happy New Year!"
