Insurer Organizes Group Disability Seminar Series

Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. is taking a 3.5-day group disability education program for benefits professionals on the road.

The Vault disability training program covers topics such as short-term and long-term disability insurance contracts and underwriting, according to Hartford, Simsbury, Conn.

Most states will award continuing education credits to program graduates.

Program graduates also can take a Group Benefits Disability Specialist designation exam that was developed by The National Underwriter Company, Erlanger, Ky.–the company that publishes this Web site.

Hartford began offering the program at its headquarters about a year ago. The new seminars will take place March 5-8 in Maitland, Fla.; April 23-26 in Palm Springs, Calif.; May 14-17 in Avon, Conn.; June 4-8 in Philadelphia; Sept. 10-13 in Cincinnati; Sept. 24-27 in Chicago; and Oct. 15-18 in Avon, Conn.
