Johannessen To Lead FPA

Mark Johannessen will be president-elect of the Financial Planning Association in 2007.

Johannessen will take over as president in 2008, according to the FPA, Denver.

Johannessen is a managing director of Sullivan, Bruyette, Speros & Blayney Inc., McLean, Va.

Johannessen has a bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and has been president of the FPA's National Capital Area chapter.

He helped organize the free financial planning services program that the FPA offered families affected by the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, and he also has been chair of the FPA's Hurricane Relief Center for Planners Task Force.
