With one product, investors can potentially benefit from a combination of DWS funds and institutional, global asset allocation oversight to help deliver performance in up and down markets," said Head of DWS Scudder, Axel Schwarzer, in a statement about the company's new product.

Last week, DWS announced the introduction of its DWS Core Plus Allocation fund. Distinguished by its combination of five DWS mutual funds, wrapped with Deutsche Asset Management's proprietary iGAP overlay, this "fund of funds" product seeks to "enhance long-term returns and manage risk through asset allocation that responds to global market trends."

The fund consists of: DWS Dreman High Return Equity fund, DWS Dreman Small Cap Value fund, DWS Global Thematic fund, DWS Core Fixed Income fund, and DWS Capital Growth fund. The fund's blended benchmark consists of: MSCI World Index, Russell 1000 Value Index, Russell 1000 Growth Index, Russell 2000 Value Index, and Lehman Aggregate Bond Index.

The fund is managed by Deutsche Asset Management Quantitative Strategies and led by portfolio managers Robert Wang and Inna Okounkova.
