A player in the retirement services market says it will be doing more to reach out to independent plan administrators.
Principal Financial Group Inc., Des Moines, Iowa, began reaching out to third-party administrators through the Professional Link to TPAs program in 2001.
Principal now is introducing the Principal TPA Edge program.
The new program will treat TPAs as "directors of business development," Principal says.
Other new features will include a post-sale service team that will specialize in working with TPA plans; contribution monitoring and eligibility determination services; and new Web-based access to data, to help TPAs handle compliance testing, Principal says.
