Personnel Changes: AIG, Hartford, Others

AIG Retirement Services Inc. has promoted Christine Nixon to senior vice president and general counsel.

Nixon previously was a vice president and deputy chief legal counsel at AIG Retirement, Los Angeles, which is a unit of American International Group Inc., New York.

Nixon has a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and a law degree from Loyola University.

In other personnel news:

- Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, has promoted Carol Krogh to vice president of communications, training and strategic planning for its group benefits Division.

Krogh previously was executive staff assistant to Dick Mucci at The Hartford's Life Operations.

Krogh has a bachelor's degree from Fairfield University.

- CIGNA HealthCare, a unit of CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia, has hired Todd Brown to be a vice president and sales manager for South Florida, Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands.

Brown previously worked for a unit of UnitedHealth Group Inc., Minnetonka, Minn.

Brown has a bachelor's degree in business administration in Finance and Economics from the University of South Florida.

- Baltimore Life Insurance Company, Owings Mills, Md., has hired Louis Johnson to be agency team manager in its Susquehanna Valley office in Pennsylvania.

Johnson holds the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow and Certified Senior Advisor professional designations.
