Acordia Acquires Indiana Firm

A large broker is scooping up a Midwestern financial services firm.

Acordia Inc., Chicago, a unit of Wells Fargo & Company, San Francisco, has acquired the assets of Bodenhafer Insurance & Investment Group, Fort Wayne, Ind.

The agency, founded in 1970, sells employee benefits, estate planning services and other services. It has offices in Indianapolis as well as in Fort Wayne.

The agency's professional staff will continue serving customers in the Fort Wayne and Indianapolis regions, Acordia says.
