Securian Introduces EIA

Securian Financial Group Inc. has introduced the SecureLink equity indexed annuity.

Securian will be issuing the policy through its Minnesota Life Insurance Company subsidiary.

Securian, a unit of Minnesota Mutual Insurance Companies, St. Paul, Minn., says it is using derivatives contracts to peg SecureLink returns to the performance of the S&P 500 stock index.

Securian will change the crediting rate every year, and it says the minimum crediting rate will be 0.
