Investment Advisor has announced the formation of the IA Leaders' Council, a feature of Investment Advisor's newly redesigned and refocused magazine. The Council comprises 12 accomplished men and women, successful financial planners and investment advisors who have agreed to share their insights individually and collectively with IA readers throughout the next 12 months and help guide the editorial content of the magazine.

The Leaders represent the varied constituencies of the profession and the magazine. They are financial planners and investment advisors; wealth managers and planners who serve middle-income clients; representatives of independent broker/dealers and fee-only RIAs; retirement planning and practice management and marketing and investing experts; active and passive managers; CFPs and CPAs; SEC- and NASD- and state-regulated advisors.

Each month, individual Leaders will be interviewed in the magazine, providing their thoughtful considerations on the challenges facing the profession and the strategies and principles they've employed to succeed. Moreover, they'll look ahead and provide a glimpse of how a Leader plans to maintain that success in the future. The first IA Leaders' Interview–with retirement planning and marketing expert Scott Hanson–will appear in the May 2006 issue of the magazine and is available here.

Twice a year, we'll seek consensus from the Leaders on those challenges and strategies for future success, and share their collective wisdom with IA's readers in the magazine and online at InvestmentAdvisor.com. These advisors have already achieved success; their guidance will help their peers do the same.
