Colonial Beefs Up Administration Site

A unit of UnumProvident Corp. is updating its Web tools for voluntary benefits customers.

Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company, Columbia, S.C., says the ColonialConnect for Plan Administrators site has added features that will give administrators the ability to search plan information at the employee level, view information such as policy status, and update employee data.

The site is open to all voluntary benefits customers, not just big customers, and employers have set up more than 23,500 accounts on the site, according to Colonial Life, which operates as Colonial Supplemental Insurance.
