Shareholders of Lincoln National Corp. and shareholders of Jefferson-Pilot Corp. will meet 10 a.m. March 20 to vote on the companies' proposed merger.
Shareholders of Lincoln National, Philadelphia, will meet at the offices of the company's Delaware Investments subsidiary in Philadelphia.
Jefferson-Pilot, Greensboro, N.C., shareholders will meet in that company's home office.
The special meetings will be open to investors who are shareholders of record at the end of Feb. 3.
Lincoln National and Jefferson-Pilot expect to distribute information for participants in the special meeting in mid-February.
The companies hope to complete their merger in the next few months.
