Ameriprise Financial Inc. is preparing to launch a television advertising campaign that will remind the oldest baby boomers that they are about to turn 60.[@@]
The oldest of the 77 million boomers were born in 1946, according to Ameriprise, Minneapolis.
The Ameriprise TV commercials, which come in 15-second and 30-second versions, will feature Snuffy Walden singing "Happy Birthday." The commercials will debut Jan. 1, 2006, shortly after midnight on the East Coast, on ABC, NBC and Fox.
The spots will air about 500 times during the first half of January on broadcast television channels and major cable channels, Ameriprise says.
