An insurance agent in Louisiana is asking for help from producers and financial advisors for survivors of Hurricane Katrina.[@@]
Robelynn Abadie, chief executive of Abadie Financial Services, Baton Rouge, says she and her husband are assisting doctors and other medical personnel at the Louisiana State University basketball arena, one of a number of locations serving as temporary hospitals for survivors of the New Orleans floods. Many of the patients had been housed at the Louisiana Superdome or the New Orleans convention center before those sites plunged into disorder and mayhem, Abadie says.
Abadie is working in a temporary pediatric clinic at LSU while also helping move families into the private homes, churches and other facilities in the area set up to house victims.
