Fort Dearborn Life Insurance Company has introduced the Index Fortifier Series of fixed index annuities.[@@]
The 5 annuity contracts provide interest credits linked to the performance of the S&P 500 Index, and the insurer says it will protect holders against the possibility that the index might decline, according to Fort Dearborn, Chicago, a unit of the parent company of Health Care Service Corp., a unit of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois.
