A few years ago, most insurers that marketed employee assistance program services were health insurers.
But more and more disability insurers have been adding EAP options in recent years.
Principal, Des Moines, Iowa, says it will be getting EAP services from Magellan Health Services Inc., Farmington, Conn.
The program will provide referrals for child care and elder care and access to financial planning services as well as counseling services, Principal says.
