Genworth Financial Inc. has named William Goings president of its U.S. life insurance business.[@@]
Goings, who previously led Genworth's European payment protection business, will be assuming responsibilities which have been under the direction of George Zippel.
Zippel, who has been lead of Genworth's life business as well as president of its protection segment, now will focus on running the protection segment, which includes Genworth's life insurance business, the long term care insurance business and the small group benefits business, Genworth says.
Goings has a bachelor's degree from Morehouse College and a master's degree in business from Northwestern University.
