The Berwyn, Pa., money management firm has hired John Ring to set up the institutional sales program.

Ring, who will be managing director of retirement plan services, will be marketing the lifestyle funds to sellers of 401(k), 403(b) and 457 plans, Brinker says.

Managers of lifestyle funds make an explicit effort to manage the funds to suit specific levels of investor risk tolerance.

Ring has been a senior vice president of retirement services both at Delaware Investments, a unit of Lincoln National Corp., Philadelphia, and at Fidelity Investments, Boston, Brinker says.

Ring has a bachelor's degree in economics from Boston College.
