The family now includes about 40 funds and will expand to more than 50 funds by September, according to Phoenix, Hartford.

Phoenix created the funds by building on the asset management services it has been offering to institutional clients and holders of its variable annuities.
The asset management unit at Phoenix manages about $43 billion in client assets, the company says.
