Sun Life Financial U.S. is offering customers a new layer of protection.[@@]
The Wellesley Hills, Mass., insurer will be providing 1 year of free PrivacyGuard privacy protection services from Trilegiant Corp., a unit of Cendant Corp., New York, to purchasers of new variable annuities and equity-indexed annuities.
The service will give the annuity holders access to credit reports, credit scores and other information that might help them detect identity theft, Sun Life Financial U.S. says.
