The Internal Revenue Service and many other federal agencies have updated their regulatory agenda.[@@]

Many items on the agenda, which appear every 6 months, deal with topics of interest to life and health insurers.

The IRS, for example, has put an item entitled "Foreign Insurance Companies" at the top of a list of regulations at the "proposed rule stage."

Other IRS proposed rules have titles such as "Highly Compensated Employee" and "Deductibility of Employer Contributions for Deferred Compensation."
