The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. is reframing several investment products to increase their appeal to baby boomers planning retirement.[@@]

The company increased the number of investment managers working with its Director variable annuity from 2 to 8 and renamed the product Director M, which stands for multi-manager.

The managers are AllianceBernstein, Fidelity Investments, Lord Abbett, Oppenheimer Funds, Putnam Investments, Van Kampen, Wellington Management Company LLP and Hartford Investment Management Company.

The Hartford also launched 3 new mutual funds: the Floating Rate Fund, the Hartford Capital Appreciation II Fund and the Select Mid-Cap Value Fund.

The new brands give the Hartford a total of 43 fund options.
