Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is responding to increased consumer interest in asset-allocation portfolios.[@@]

The Appleton, Wis., fraternal says its new Thrivent Financial Variable Annuity contract, a revised version of a contract released in 2002, now includes 4 asset-allocation portfolios. The portfolios give VA holders a combination of enough customization to reflect their tolerance for risk along with investment help from professional money managers.

The new contract also allows faster access to assets added after the initial contract date, and it provides a new guaranteed minimum accumulation benefit, Thrivent says.
