The insurer, Prudential Financial Inc., says its annuities unit will be offering a series of courses for producers and a series of seminars for clients on tax issues that affect retirees and near-retirees.

The courses and seminars will focus on 5 retirement tax-saving strategies, including lessons on working with financial professionals, maximizing net income, allocating assets in ways that increase tax efficiency, reducing taxes on distributions, and dealing with the tax questions that face the many older Americans who continue working after age 65.
