A Purchase, N.Y., financial services distributor has named a new president for one of its units.[@@]
The distributor, Independent Financial Marketing Group Inc., has promoted Catherine Filos to president of its IFS Agencies Inc. business.
Filos, who previously was assistant director of IFMG's insurance division, succeeds James Kirrane, who was promoted to national sales director. Filos will be one of IFMG's main liaisons to insurers.
Filos has a bachelor's degree from Manhattan College.
IFMG is a unit of Sun Life Financial Inc., Toronto.
