The Allstate Workplace Division has set up a special fund to support the Cancer Treatment Research Foundation.[@@]

Allstate Workplace, Jacksonville, Fla., will base the size of its donations to the fund on the amount of cancer insurance it sells.

About 18% of the policies the division sold in 2004 were cancer policies, the division says.

The division, a unit of Allstate Corp., Northbrook, Ill., also plans to organize an annual charity classic golf tournament on behalf of the Arlington Heights, Ill.-based cancer research foundation in Jacksonville, Fla.

Allstate's parent company designates the foundation as a beneficiary of the company's annual employee charity drive, according to Allstate Workplace.
