A major group insurance seller is setting up an operation that will cater to producers who serve businesses with 2 to 15 employees.[@@]

Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, New York, says it hopes to open small group sales office counterparts for each of its 47 regional group offices by the end of the year.

The micro-group offices will provide quick action on proposals, employees who specialize in handling in-force accounts and rate discounts for small employers who buy several different products from Guardian, Guardian says.
