Regulators have come up with the final version of the Fair Credit Reporting Act general rights summary.[@@]
The Federal Trade Commission has released a batch of FACT guidance that presents the text of the rights summaries and notices that credit bureaus must use when communicating with consumers.
Starting Jan. 31, 2005, the guidance requires credit bureaus to include the new general rights summary, or a substantially similar summary, when sending personal credit information to consumers.
One section of the general rights summary deals with marketing offers.
