Aetna Inc., Hartford, has introduced a family of tools to help members understand their new, account-based health plan programs.[@@]

The tools, which accompany Aetna's HealthFund health plans, include a plan selection and cost estimator tool, an Aetna HealthFund HSA Savings Calculation Tool for users of health savings accounts, and Aetna HealthFund HRA and HSA tutorials.

The tutorials, which take about 30 minutes to complete, explain the reasons for the rise of the new health accounts, the benefits available through HSAs and health reimbursement arrangements, and the tools and resources that support the new account-based health plan programs.

Aetna is offering the tools for free to employers that adopt its HRA and HSA-based programs.
