Summit Reinsurance Services Inc. has appointed Larry Jackson as director of underwriting.[@@]
Summit Re, Overland Park, Kan., announced Jackson's appointment in a joint statement with GE ERC Healthcare, a division of the General Electric Company, Fairfield, Conn. ERC Healthcare since 1999 has had an exclusive relationship with Summit Re to sell excess of loss reinsurance to healthcare maintenance organizations.
"We look forward to achieving strategic growth and expansion with the addition of Larry's talent," said Robin Sterneck, president of ERC Healthcare.
Jackson joins Summit Re from Lincoln Financial Group, Ft. Wayne, Ind.
Summit Re is an intermediary broker with a focus on managed care reinsurance. It specializes in helping HMOs analyze and manage risk.
