NU Online News Service, June 1, 2004, 11:51 a.m. EDT – Lydian Wealth Management Company, Rockville, Md., says it has scooped up 2 smaller investment advisory firms.[@@]

Lydian has acquired Windermere Investment Associates Inc., Portland, Ore., and Copper Beech Advisors L.L.C., King of Prussia, Pa.

The prices of the deals were not available.

Windermere helps wealthy families develop customized portfolios that include assets such as real estate and private equity as well as bonds and public stock. Windermere will continue to operate under the Windermere name, and Nancy Jacob, president of Windermere, will continue to be Windermere's president, Lydian says.

Copper Beech helps wealthy families preserve their wealth by focusing on issues such as educating children and grandchildren, promoting strong family relationships and setting up family governance systems. Daniel Geary, founder and manager of Copper Beech, will continue to run that business, but Copper Beech will become the Philadelphia-area office of Lydian, Lydian says.
