NU Online News Service, March 11, 2004, 1:52 p.m. EST – The Massachusetts Division of Insurance has scheduled a public hearing March 24 on Manulife Financial Corp.'s proposed acquisition of John Hancock Financial Services Inc.[@@]
The division will hold the hearing at its headquarters in Boston, where John Hancock is domiciled.
Manulife, Toronto, announced an agreement to acquire John Hancock Sept. 28.
Individuals or groups wishing to speak at the meeting must notify the Massachusetts division by March 19.
