NU Online News Service, Nov. 14, 2003, 11:03 a.m. EST – Kansas City Life Insurance Company, Kansas City, Mo., is reporting $7.7 million in net income for the third quarter on $121 million in revenue, up from $801,000 on $102 million in revenue for the third quarter of 2002.

The company brought in less group benefits revenue because of the loss of a large dental account in late 2002, but strong sales of immediate fixed annuities and the acquisition of a life insurance company from GuideOne Financial Group Inc., Des Moines, Iowa, led to an increase in individual life revenue.
