And what a business it is! Long term care practitioners and providers are a passionate lot. They bring a strong sense of mission and zeal to their endeavors. Finally, I want to remind you that time is running out if you want to submit an event for our "Events 2004″ supplement, which will be published in the Dec. 15 issue. The deadline for submissions, which can be done only via the Web, is Nov. 14.

This supplement lists leading conventions, conferences and industry meetings.

If you have an event to submit, go to www.NationalUnderwriter.com, click on the "Meetings & Events" button at the top of the page, page down to "submit an event," and fill out the online form. Events will be included in the magazine based on space availability, but all events submitted will be listed as part of NUs Meetings & Events Web site.
