NU Online News Service, Sept. 12, 2003, 1:55 p.m. EDT – The PrecisionIR Investor Confidence Index has reached 4.82, the highest level in more than a year, according to WILink Inc., Richmond, Va.

The index hit an all-time low of 0.80 in September 2002.

WILink, an investor relations firm, computes the index by drawing on survey responses from investors who order annual reports and other information from it, then calculating a four-week rolling average.

The latest index results mean that, over the past four weeks, there have been 4.82 responses from bullish WILink customers for every response from a bearish customer, the firm says. The index was over 10 when WILink began computing it in 2000.

WILink is a unit of WILink P.L.C., London.
