Please refer to the article on page 34 of your June 16 edition.
This is an excellent article, well researched and organized. However, I believe that it would be more appropriate to refer to the President as "President Bush" than as "Bush."
I can appreciate that in recent decades we have reduced the status of the presidency, but that should not be encouraged further by your excellent publication. I know that your writer was not being negative, it is just expedient and quite appropriate for all persons except a few.
Presidents deserve the title, if nothing else as a sign of respect for the position and the country, if not the man. After all, you wouldnt refer to quotations from the Vatican as comments from "Paul said." would you?
