NU Online News Service, July 8, 2003, 11:12 a.m. EDT – FlexSCAN Inc., Mission Viejo, Calif., has introduced flexPLUS, a benefit program that pays for full-body and colonoscopy CT screening.

FlexSCAN has designed the program so that employers can offer it together with Section 125 cafeteria plans.

The program will use the Web to help employees track CT benefits and CT test results.

Many doctors promote routine use of colonoscopy CT screening to detect colon cancer. Routine use of full-body CT scans to detect coronary artery disease is more controversial but has been gaining in popularity.
