Morningstar To Serve American Express Advisors

NU Online News Service, May 2, 2003, 6:14 p.m. EDT – American Express Financial Advisors, Minneapolis, has agreed to buy Web-based services from Morningstar Associates L.L.C., Chicago, a unit of Morningstar Inc., for its 10,200 advisors.

American Express advisors will get access to the research, planning, sales, and clients and portfolios modules of the Morningstar Advisor Workstation system, Morningstar says.

In January, American Express agreed to buy investment advisory services from Morningstar for participants in the 330 retirement plans it manages.

American Express Financial advisors is a unit of the American Express Company, New York.
