NU Online News Service, April 25, 2003, 10:07 a.m. EDT – Zix Corp., Dallas, is reporting a $6.8 million net loss for the first quarter on $637,000 in revenue, compared with a $9.8 million net loss on $389,000 in revenue for the first quarter of 2002.
Zix, a high-tech startup, develops electronic-mail systems that comply with the new federal health information privacy standards.
Anthem Inc., Indianapolis, one of the biggest U.S. managed care companies, and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, Chicago, both became Zix customers during the latest quarter, Zix says.
