NU Online News Service, April 25, 2003, 10:21 a.m. EDT – American Healthways Inc., Nashville, Tenn., says it has sold its services to eight large employer-sponsored health plans this year through a marketing agreement with Principal Financial Group Inc., Des Moines, Iowa.
American Healthways runs disease-management and care-improvement programs.
The eight plans signed through Principal cover about 43,000 employees and dependents, American Healthways says.
American Healthways provides disease and care management programs for about 770,000 U.S. residents.
