Phoenix Hires Asset-Management Executive

NU Online News Service, April 23, 2003, 11:09 a.m. EDT – The Phoenix Companies Inc., Hartford, has hired Daniel Geraci to be executive vice president of its asset-management business and president of its asset-management subsidiary, Phoenix Investment Partners.

Geraci has been president of Pioneer Investment Management USA Inc., Boston, a unit of UniCredito Italiano S.P.A., Milan, Italy, since November 2001.

He also has worked as an executive at Fidelity Investments, Boston. He started out in 1980 as an investment broker in the Los Angeles office of E.F. Hutton & Company.

Geraci is president of Roberto Bazzoni Onlus-United States Inc., Boston, a charitable foundation that supports children with AIDS in war-torn countries.
