April 2, 2003 — Strong Capital Management Inc. said Derek Felske, who helped run the Strong Advisor Mid-Cap Growth fund, has left the company.

Brandon Nelson, who previously managed institutional accounts for the firm, has joined Ronald Ognar in overseeing the fund. Ognar and Felske had piloted portfolio since its inception in November 2000.

Nelson, who joined Strong as an analyst in 1996, is a growth-oriented investor, like Felske and Ognar, so the management style of the fund will not change, a spokesman for the fund company said.

The fund lost 26.8% for the year ended in February, while its peer mid-cap growth funds were off 23.2%. The portfolio is too new to carry an overall Star ranking from Standard & Poor's.
