NU Online News Service, March 17, 2003, 5:02 p.m. EST – Executives at many managed care organizations worry the weak economy will increase pressure on health care costs by expanding the ranks of the uninsured, according to the latest managed health care market report from Cap Gemini Ernst & Young L.L.P., New York.

The executives' other top worries include the high cost of new medical tests and treatments; state coverage mandates; a drop in public funding for health care; and consumers' continuing demands for more choices.
