NU Online News Service, Jan. 16, 4:01 p.m. – The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Simsbury, Conn., has promoted Carol Harnett to national practice leader for group disability and life at its group benefits division.
Harnett also will run Hartford's Center for Ability, which finds resources to help disability claimants return to work.
Harnett previously was Hartford's director of wellness and ability management.
Harnett has a bachelor's degree in biological chemistry from St. Peter's College and a master's degree in physiology and biophysics from Rutgers University. Before she joined Hartford, she was rehabilitation director for Prudential Financial Inc., Newark, N.J.
