NU Online News Service, Dec. 16, 10:48 a.m. – Searchspace P.L.C., London, has introduced a search tool that insurers can use to analyze transactions for signs of money laundering and other suspicious behavior.

The tool can help insurers comply with the USA Patriot Act, which forbids insurers from doing business with individuals and organizations believed to be involved with terrorism, Searchspace says.

Searchspace says the tool uses artificial intelligence technology to compare transactions with one another and identify transactions that appear to be unusually risky.
