NU Online News Service, Dec. 5, 1:46 p.m. – Aetna Inc., Hartford, has helped start a national campaign to encourage primary care physicians to store vaccines safely.
The managed care company provided educational materials for the Vaccine Safe Storage Project, which is trying to improve compliance with the Centers for Disease Control vaccine storage guidelines. In addition to the educational materials, the program includes an initial survey of storage procedures, tools to support safe vaccine storage, and a follow-up survey.
