Coventry Completes MedAmerica Acquisition

NU Online News Service, Dec. 3, 1:29 p.m. – Coventry Health Care Inc., Bethesda, Md., says a subsidiary has completed a previously announced acquisition of Mid-America Health Partners Inc., Kansas City, Mo.

MidAmerica has 120,000 managed care members and 130,000 members of preferred provider "rental" networks.

Coventry now has 300,000 managed care members in the Kansas City market and 130,000 rental network members.
